‎Nor Shall a Man Ever Be Ascribed in Lineage to His Mother and Her Father, Save For One Singular Case Alone: When a Maiden Conceives Without any Human Having Touched Her. Such a Thing Has Not Occurred, Nor Shall It Occur, Except by a Miracle—a Word from Allaah, the Lord of all the worlds. Indeed, His Command, When He Wills a Thing, Is Only That He Says to It, “Be,” and It Comes Into Being

In the name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Prayers of forgiveness and peace be upon Mohammed, the messenger of Allaah, and upon all the Messengers before him, every one of them, and upon all who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment
‎..

‎Let both—the human and the jinn—bear witness, and sufficient is the Most Merciful as a Witness, that it is not fitting for the son of Mary, daughter of Imran, to be ascribed to her and called the Messiah (Jesus, son of Mary, daughter of Imran) except in one case alone: namely, if Mary, daughter of Imran, conceived without any human ever touching her. In that singular circumstance, we have no recourse but to call the Messiah
Jesus, son of Mary, daughter of Imran.” Yet this can occur only through an extraordinary miracle that rises above the customary laws of Allaah's signs governing human procreation
‎.

‎And since it is impossible for this to occur—that the Messiah should be called “Jesus, son of Mary, daughter of Imran”—this, indeed, is the impossibility itself. It was precisely this realization that grieved the wife of Imran, for she knew with certainty that the progeny of Mary would inevitably be ascribed to the son-in-law of Imran not to Mary, daughter of Imran. This was the source of her sorrow when she delivered a female child, knowing well that the male is not like the female: the male bears the lineage of his father, whereas the female’s offspring bear the lineage of their father—that is, of the son-in-law. Thus, the grief of the wife of Imran upon giving birth to a daughter stemmed from her wish for a son, so that the progeny of that son might be ascribed to Imran; for as for the female, she knew that her offspring would be ascribed to the son-in-law. That is why Allaah the Exalted said
‎:

‎Quran— Surah: al- Imran — Verses: 35-36

‎And it was never within the contemplation of the wife of Imran that her daughter Mary, upon reaching rectitude, would carry a child by a Word from Allaah—“Be, and it is”—without any human having touched her. Had she known this, she would not have grieved over having delivered a female; rather, she would have exult with great exultation, for what she had wished for would have been fulfilled by the command of Allaah—“Be, and so it is.”For in that case, it would have been as though she had given birth to a male, since the son of Mary would then, by necessity, bear his lineage compulsorily to Mary, daughter of Imran. And although the Messiah was created by Allaah through “Be, and it is,” he is not the son of Allaah—exalted is He above that—but rather exactly as Allaah named him: The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary. In line with the Word of Allaah the Exalted

‎:
‎Quran— Surah: al- Imran — Verses: 45-47

This is because the angels were with the Holy Spirit (the Angel Gabriel) when He assumed a human form to speak to her, bringing the glad tidings through a miraculous sign that transcended the ordinary order of the worlds. And Allaah the Exalted said
‎:
