The Imam's Responses to the Member Naji: The Veil is upon the Heart, thus Preventing them from Knowing their True Lord
..

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be upon the Messengers, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the world
..

May Allah's peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you, my brother Naji. I was pleasantly surprised with your debate using the Quran, except that you are arguing with me using the allegorical¹ verses of the Quran, seeking to prove the fabricated Hadith of fitnah² regarding the “seeing of Allah” (on the Day of Judgment). But, my dear brother, do you not know that if the hadith did not contradict clear, decisive verses, which are the foundation of the Book, I would not have denied it in the least? The only reason for my denial is contradiction, for a hadith or narration that aligns with some verses but contradicts others. It is here that I know for certain that it is a fabricated hadith, without a doubt. That is because the Prophetic Sunnah came only to add clarification and explanation to the Quran, and not to contradict any part of it whatsoever. And you should know that any false hadith that is not from Allah and His Messenger, you will certainly find much contradiction between it and the clear, decisive verses of the Quran. But there are some hadiths that you find are in match with some verses while mismatch others; these too are fabricated as a deception for the believers to turn them away from following the clear, decisive verses, which are the foundation of the Book. In confirmation of the saying of Allah the Exalted:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-'Imran 3:7]

¹allegorical verses are those not to be taken only in their outward, literal sense but understood as pointing to deeper meanings, and their ultimate meaning is known only to Allaah. And He imparts knowledge of them to whomever of His caliphs,He wills, so that they may serve as the proof of caliphate and Imamate; for indeed, the proof of caliphate lies in the expansion of knowledge of the Qur’an

²They are fabricated Hadiths falsely inserted into the authentic Sunnah, and they invariably contradict the clear verses of the Great Qur’an

Among these allegorical verses is this verse that (Naji) has presented to us, which he sees it in its outward meaning as proof for seeing Allah, glorified is He. Allah says:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-Mutaffifin 83:15-21]

The words of ambiguity are in the saying of Allah the Exalted: {from their Lord, that Day, they will be veiled.} So what exactly is the intended veil, O (Naji)? Does it mean a veil from the eyes of the face, or does it mean a veil upon the heart? Return to the clear, decisive verses, and Allah will give you the true fatwa that He means a veil upon the heart, preventing them from knowing their Lord's true goodness. They will remain veiled from knowing Allah just as they were in the worldly life, and for that reason, you will not find them asking Allah for His mercy, because they have lost hope of their Lord’s mercy. That is because they did not know Allah, glorified is He, while they were in this world; they did not esteem Him with the esteem due to Him, and likewise in the Hereafter, they will be veiled from their Lord. Therefore, they will not ask Him for His mercy. Allah the Exalted said:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-Isra 17:72]

That is because the veil upon their hearts, which prevented them from perceiving the truth, remains upon their hearts in the Hereafter. Allah the Exalted said:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-A'raf 7:52-53]

So, did you find them calling upon their Lord? Rather, you found them searching for intercessors to plead for them before Allah. Do they not know that Allah is the Most Merciful of all? Had they asked Him by the right of His mercy, He would have answered them, and He would not deny that He is indeed the Most Merciful of all. But they remain fixed in their creed of intercessors because of the veil upon their hearts preventing them from knowing their True Lord. Allah the Exalted said:

[Qur’an: Surah:Yunus 7:28]

Therefore, the veil that blinded them from knowing their True Lord is still upon their hearts. Allah the Exalted said:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-Isra 17:45-48]

Therefore, the veil is upon the heart, which prevented them from knowing their True Lord, and that is the same veil upon their hearts in the Hereafter, in line with the Word of Allah, The Exalted:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-Isra 17:72]

And in confirmation to the Word of Allah, The Exalted:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-Mutaffifin 83:15-21]

My advice to you, my dear brother, is to follow the Book's clear, decisive verses and not the literal meaning of the allegorical ones, which you find contradict the clear verses and appear similar to certain narrations. Know that such a narration is but a fabricated trial, which the devils made to resemble verses that still require those firm in the knowledge of the Book (Caliphs) to bring you their interpretation, by Allah's permission, because their apparent meaning is not their hidden truth. And remember what Allah says:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-'Imran 3:7]

So why do you follow the allegorical verse which resembles the fabricated narration of tribulation, even though you find that this narration contradicts clear, decisive, and evident verses that lie at the very heart and core of the matter, whose apparent meaning is the same as their inner meaning? For example, the saying of Allah the Exalted:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-A'raf 7:143]

And here, the questioners ask, why did Allah say to His prophet Moses, {You will not see Me}? Does Allah mean you will not see Me in this world, or is there another reason? It then becomes clear to you that the reason is the greatness of the Essence of Allah the Great; nothing can bear seeing Him except something like Him, equal to Him in intrinsic greatness; glorified and highly exalted is He! But Allah gave Moses the condition that if the great mountain could bear seeing Him, then he would see Him. That is because Allah is able to make His prophet Moses equal to the greatness of the mountain, and thus he would be able to bear seeing Allah. For that reason, Allah the Exalted said:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-A'raf 7:143]

But this was conditional upon the mountain remaining firm upon seeing the greatness of Allah's Essence. So look, and let us look together at the result in the decisive Book of Allah. Allah the Exalted said:
[Qur’an: Surah:Al-A'raf 7:143]

Therefore, the mountain did not remain standing firm in its place. Therefore, the Prophet of Allah, Moses, peace and blessings be upon him, would not see his Lord, and that is because nothing can bear to see the greatness of Allah's Essence except something that is equal to Allah, glorified is He, in the greatness of His Essence. And there is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing
.

Let us see what happened to the Prophet of Allah, Moses, after Allah revealed Himself to the great mountain. Allah the Exalted said:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-A'raf 7:143]

Truly has Allah the Great spoken. Look at the words of the Prophet of Allah, Moses, peace and blessings be upon him, who glorified his Lord, declaring Him far above being seen by anything other than something like Himself. This came after he witnessed the clear proof of what happened to the great mountain, for it could not bear seeing Allah, even though it was a great mountain. Moses then realized that nothing could bear to see the Essence of Allah except something like Him. But he knew that there is nothing like unto his Lord that could bear seeing Him. He then repented, turned back, and retracted his request to see his Lord after Allah had shown him the reason for the impossibility of seeing Him, saying:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-A'raf 7:143]

So, ponder and reflect upon these clear, decisive, and evident verses. They are the foundation of the Book, at the very heart and core of the matter, providing the ruling on the impossibility of seeing Allah. Allah the Exalted said:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-A'raf 7:143]

The question that poses itself is this: O community of believers, why do you forsake clear, decisive, and evident verses at the heart and core of the matter and instead follow allegorical verses where the ambiguity may lie in only a word or two within a long verse? Whereas the clear verses are explained in full detail at the very heart of the matter
.

O Naji, fear Allah, my dear brother. Allah has defined His attributes for you and told you:
[Qur’an: Surah:Al-An'am 6:102]

Meaning, do not be led astray by any whose attributes differ from those. Allah the Exalted said
:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-An'am 6:101-106]

And O Naji, is it possible for Allah to have a son or a spouse in the Hereafter? Glorified is He! Is it not one of His attributes that the vision of His creation cannot perceive His Essence, not even the vision of the great mountains, and indeed the vision of all creation combined cannot perceive Him? Did this attribute, of the impossibility of seeing the Essence of Allah, glorified is He, not come among the other attributes in these clear, decisive verses? So why was it thrown out by the devils? That is because if they could not lead you into fitnah concerning this attribute, then how could the false messiah, who will claim Lordship, lead you into fitnah while speaking to you openly? For that reason, they have led you into fitnah and away from the clear verses of the Book, so you turned away from following them, which are the foundation of the Book, as if you had never heard them at all. Instead, you followed the allegorical verses that align with the Hadiths of fitnah, even though you know for a fact that this hadith of fitnah contradicts the clear, decisive, and evident verses which are the foundation of the Book and lie at the very heart of the matter
.

Therefore, those who follow the allegorical verses are only seeking proof for the narration of tribulation. They are not concerned with following the Qur'an because, according to their fatwa, no one knows its interpretation except Allah! Rather, what pleased them was that allegorical verse because its apparent meaning resembled a hadith, one that was fabricated as a fitnah to turn them away from the clear verses, and they know that. And for that reason, Allah the Exalted said
:

[Qur’an: Surah:Al-'Imran 3:7]

O Allah, I have delivered the message. O Allah, bear witness
.

And peace be upon the Messengers, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds
